All purpose Flour
Oil or ghee
Warm water
Salt
Sugar

Grab a big bowl, add flour and make a well. Add sugar , salt followed by water , ghee or oil. Knead till you get a dough thats sticky. Put the dough on a board fully floured and continue kneading for a couple of minutes. Continue the process while adding flour as you go. The goal is for it to be soft and smooth. Cut the dough into different sizes and let it sit. Grab a rolling pin and use it to roll out dough in a circle. Don’t worry yourself to much about having perfect circles. Sprinkle some oil on the pan and place the dough on. The stove has to be medium low heat, the goal is to cook not burn. Heavily sprinkle more oil on the other side of the dough plus the edges. Cook it for a few minutes. Toss and turn till golden brown on both sides then serve.
Side note: There’s an option for extra steps if you want layers on your chapati.
